26.01.2017: Republic Day Celebrations at RMG Maheshwari English School, Ladvi Campus
RMG Maheshwari English School celebrated 68th Republic Day with great fervor and joy. The Director Shri. P. S. Kamlani introduced the distinguished guests for the function. To grace the occasion, Shri. Trilokji Gandhi, Shri. J. Omprakashji Gandhi, Shri. Vineetji Kabra, Shri. Nemichandji Jangid were present. Special guest who had all the way come from Canada to attend the event – Shri. Mohammad Hanif Shaikh gave an inspiring speech to students. Chairman Shri. Meghraj Gandhi shared wonderful experiences from his childhood to make this day a very special one. The program was beautified with skits, patriotic songs, dances and speeches and ended with vote of thanks to all.
Sunday, the 8th of January, 2017 RMG Annual Fest
RMG Maheshwari English School celebrated its RMG Annual Fest this year on Sunday, the 8th of January, 2017. The program began with lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries. The concept was – Incredible India – Pillars of Success, which constituted of rare folk dances from different states of India. The Chairman Shri. Meghrajji Gandhi and Trustee Shri. Shyamji Jhawar welcomed all guests and dignitaries present in the function. The Director introduced all guests. The Chief Guest of the function was Shri. Harsh Sanghavi, MLA, Government of Gujarat, while the special guests of Honour were His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Shri. Shri. 1008 Anant Vibhushit Avadhoot Baba Arungiriji Maharaj, Her Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Devi Maa, Shivangi Nandgiriji, guests of honours were Honorable Shri. Nemichandji Jangid, Honourable Shri. Samir Shah and Honourable Shri. Janakbhai Thakorbhai Desai. Seven Students were felicitated for excellence in various fields, while the Best Student of the year Sambhavi Swarn was awarded a Trophy, Certificate and a complementary gift package of Club Mahendra was announced by the Honourable Chairman. The Principal read out the Annual Report which consisted of growth and enhancement in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities at RMG. He ended up with thanking the management for all its support to make this academic year so successful.
24-12-2016: CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AT RMG
RMG School celebrated Christmas on 24-12-2016 with pomp and splendor. The stage was tastefully decorated with a huge cut out of Santa Claus, red coloured balloons and a lovely Christmas tree decked with bells, stars, snow and festoons. There were 3 carols sung by the children. The students of Gr. VII danced graced to the tune of Christmas songs. The little ones of Gr. I depicted the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in their nativity skit. Gr. VII students presented a message oriented skit. The highlight of the program was the foot tapping dance ‘Malaika’ and the shaky dance of Pre-Primary - Feliz Nevidad. The surprise entry of ‘Santa Claus’ made the children excited and jump with joy.
20-12-2016 - Solo Dance Competition – Primary
To provide opportunity to enhance confidence and enthusiasm dance competition was held for Gr. 1 to 5 in which all students participated wholeheartedly.
12-12-16 – Picnic to Mirasol Water Park - Gr. 2 – Gr. 5
The Primary classes of Gr. 2 - Gr.5 enjoyed a days’ trip to a wonderful destination – Mirasol Water Park. There was an experience of true enjoyment which came from activity of the mind and exercise of the body. All enjoyed it.
11 & 12 December 2016: ADVENTURE CAMP AT SAJAN NATURE CLUB Gr. IX TO XI (SCI & COM)
RMG Maheshwari English School had organised a two days’ camp at Sajan Nature Club, Vikramgadh. The purpose was to provide the students a close encounter with nature wherein they would live in the midst of nature, experiencing the thrills therein. The location was absolutely picturesque with waterfall and a tribal hamlet and dam nearby. The students were accommodated in tents. They had exciting sessions of mountaineering, valley crossing, tarzan swing, team games, jungle cooking, rappelling, kayaking, camp fire, DJ party and treasure hunt. They exhibited a spirit of adventure and participated with great enthusiasm. Overall, they had a memorable trip.
30-11-2016: Fruit Day at RMG – Gr. VI-VIII
Fruits, fruits & fruits everywhere! It was a wonderful, colourful and mouth-watering day on 30th November, 2016 as RMG celebrated ‘Fruit Day’. Students brought luscious fruits of all varieties. Inter House Competition of ‘Cut, Carve, Decorate & Display’ was conducted in the respective class rooms. Students participated with enthusiasm. They were innovative and creative in carving fruits and displaying them. The House Boards were also decorated with colourful pictures and posters of fruits. Special Assembly was held with a special pledge taken for taking fruits in the diet. Overall, it was a fruity day.

Pre-primary & Grade I Children enjoyed picnic at Chowki Dhaani with cart ride, puppet show, magic show and many more wonderful day.
26.11.16: Picnic to Chab Chaba Chab Water Park
Students of RMG School from Grade 6 to 8 went on a picnic to Chap Chaba Chab Water Park accompanied by their teachers. Students enjoyed the different rides in the water park. Water Waves Tsunami was the main attraction of the water park which was enjoyed the most by the students.
19.11.16: GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION at RMGMES
The purpose of celebrating Grandparents day is to honor them. The Principal welcomed all grandparents and assured them about the security and happy learning of their wards. Games, Music and competitions were held for the grandparents. All enjoyed the day.
18-11-2016: UN CHILD RIGHTS DAY
RMG celebrated UN World Child Rights Day on the occasion of World Child Rights Day; Special Assembly was conducted. Students of Gr. VII & IX performed a skit which depicted the hardships of child labour and plight of children who are denied of their right to education. It was an eye opener to everyone. Students gave their views and opinions on how this social evil can be curbed and emphasised that children should not be deprived of education, better living conditions and joy of a happy childhood. It was an inspiring and informative assembly.
12.11.16: CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
To show love towards children, RMG teachers performed a Special Assembly for them. Since 14th Nov. happens to be a holiday, Children’s Day was celebrated on 12th Nov. The teachers presented a special program for the students. Prayer songs were sung by the Lady teachers of Primary Section. A message oriented skit was performed by the teachers. It gave the message that children need to care for their parents in their old age. There was also a humorous skit on the comic character ‘Suppandi’ which entertained everyone. The highlight of the program was a dance performance by the Gents Staff. An enlightening speech was given on the occasion. Overall, the students enjoyed the program.
10.10.16 - Special Assembly - ‘Save Girl Child’
On behalf of RMG and Girl-Up Club, students conducted a Special Assembly ‘Save Girl Child.’ To dedicate and enlighten the girls for their safety, the girls of Gr. 9th performed a skit and dance based on ‘Save Girl Child.’
08-10-2016: GARBA COMPETITION AT RMG
‘Garba’ is the pride of Gujarat. It is an internationally acclaimed traditional dance which is performed during the Navratri or the nine days of festivity. On this occasion, “Inter House Garba Competition” was conducted on 8th October, 2016. The venue was huge and spacious assembly ground. Of RMG There were altogether 12 teams belonging to the four houses. The participants came in rich traditional costumes. They were allotted their respective circles. The audiences were enthralled by the richness of their attire and the rhythm of their dance. The Pre-Primary and Gr. I & II were allotted the stage assembly. As the music started, the participants danced with vigor and swing in their feet. The entire atmosphere was filled with fun and frolic. The event started with the traditional and devotional ‘Aarti’ sung by the students and performed by the teachers. After the competition, non-participants too joined in the celebration. Best Dressed students were selected from each house. The day ended with lots of enjoyment and contentment.
1.10.16 : Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri at RMG
RMG paid special tribute to the father of the nation- Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on this special day. Special Assembly was conducted on the occasion.
14/09/2016: Hindi Diwas Celebration
RMG celebrated ‘Hindi-Divas’ with full enthusiasm. A Special Assembly was presented by the students in Hindi. Poem recitation of Pre-Primary and Primary Students were the main attraction of the celebration.
10/09/2016: Cooking without Fire for Moms at RMG.
Mother is the foundation for the development of courage, faith, prayer, love, happiness and contentment. She is an expression of humanity. To commemorate the above and to felicitate their hard work ‘Cooking without Fire’ was arranged for mothers. Good response from their busy schedule. RMG salutes the efforts of all its mothers for their unceasing efforts for their children. Children were quite happy to see their mothers competing with other mothers. Thank you, Moms!!!!!
8.9.16: Celebration of International Literacy day at RMG
Literacy is a platform for democratization and a vehicle for the promotion of culture and national identity. Especially for girls and women, it is an agent of family health and nutrition. Literacy is, finally, the road to human process and the means through which every man, woman and child can realize his or her full potential. To honor the same, students presented a special Assemble with Speeches and Skits.
03.09.16: Teachers’ Day celebration at RMG
The celebration of Teachers’ Day at RMG Maheshwari English School was done with great joy and enthusiasm. The program began with lamp lighting by the honorable Director, Principal, Vice Principal and Teachers. The students took over the stage and presented a wonderful tribute to the efforts of their teachers. It consisted of songs, skit, dance and speeches. The Director Mr. Kamlani and the Principal presented inspirational speeches and expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards teachers. The program ended with the presentation of gifts to all the Staff and a vote of thanks to all.
30.08. 2016: SOCIAL SCIENCE INTER HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION
Social Science Inter House Quiz was held at RMG on Tuesday, 30 of August 2016 for Classes VI – VIII, organized by Social Science and Heritage Club. We have organised quiz competition for the development of our learners. Its main aim was to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts, aiding in the team building process and aiming to relieve the tension of the daily work routine. In all, there were 8 rounds. The quiz started with the normal questionnaire round. The last round was the visual round, which enthralled the audience. Each team had four members. A total of four teams participated in the competition. Overall it was an interesting event.
24/08/2016: JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION in the Pre primary
The Pre-Primary section celebrated Janmashtami i.e., on 24/08/2016. Boys came dressed up as Krishna and Girl dressed up as Radha. Children enjoyed watching Lord Krishna childhood movie in A.V. room. Children coloured the Outline picture of Lord Krishna. Best dressed Krishna and best dressed Radha were selected. Children enjoyed a lot celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.
17.08.2016: RAKSHA-BANDHAN CELEBRATION in Pre-Primary
The Pre Primary section celebrated Raksha bandhan today with all students dressed up in colourful dresses. Each girl brought two Rakhis to tie the brothers in their class, whereas all boys brought two chocolates to give them as a token of love for their sisters. Students and teachers enjoyed celebrating this festival.
A Glorious Independence Day Celebration at RMG Maheshwari English School, Ladvi campus, Surat on 15th of August 2016.
The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with great reverence and patriotism. The occasion was graced by eminent personalities of Surat. Shri. Madhavjibhai Patel was the Chief Guest of the program. The Guests of Honour were Shri. Hanumanji Soni, Shri. Rameshjibhai Lohiya and Shri. Jayeshjibhai Rajpurohit. The performance of Students was indeed a spectacular show as the students marched in their respective houses proudly carrying the colourful flags. Students performed a dance item, a tribute to the dear departed former President Dr. Kalam. The Swagat dance performed by a mixed group brought back the glimpses of the rich tradition of Rajasthan. The skit ‘Bhagat Singh’ paid a rich tribute the brave and chivalrous freedom fighters. Students exhibited their skills of oration in their speeches along with meaningful message. There were patriotic songs igniting the spirit of patriotism in the hearts of all. The speeches given by the dignitaries were a source of inspiration for the youngsters.
05-08-2016: GRAMMAR QUIZ COMPETITION - GRADE IX & X
Grammar is the foundation of English Language. To sharpen the grammatical knowledge of the students, Grammar Quiz was conducted on 05-08-2016 for Gr. IX & X. It was an ‘Inter House Competition’ in which 4 participants from each house participated. There were altogether 15 rounds and the topics ranged from simple vocabulary to idioms, phrases, homophones, parts of speech etc. The participants scored well and the audience also participated with great interests. Over all, the quiz enriched their grammar knowledge.
29/07/2016: RAINBOW DAY CELEBRATION – Pre-Primary Section
The Pre-Primary Section has celebrated Rainbow today. The students and including teachers have come in various colorful dresses. Students have recited poems on the same theme during School Assembly. The students were asked to recognize the colors through various shapes and sizes. They wear also asked to color the outline picture of rainbow. Teachers have also conducted an activity for students to give their hand prints of various colors on a chart paper. Students have enjoyed so much while learning and recognizing colors.
29.07.16: World Skills Day - Talent Hunt Competition – Primary
The competition was held for grade III – V. Students displayed their numerous talents like Dance, Speech, Mono-Acting and Singing.
28-07-2016 - WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY-Secondary Section
Nature sustains human life and adds beauty to this world. It is the primary duty of a man to conserve this beautiful nature which is essential is human survival. On the occasion of ‘World Nature Conservation Day’ RMG Maheshwari English School organized Special Assembly, the back drop was quite appropriate. The students gave a speech and vital tips on how to conserve nature. The students were inspired with the presentation and took an oath to do their part well for this noble cause.
26-07-2016 – ‘Kargil Victory Day
RMG Maheshwari English School observed ‘Kargil Victory Day’ on 26-07-2016. On this occasion Special Assembly was arranged by the students of Gr. IX B. A special patriotic song was sung by the students of Gr. VI. A student of IX A give speech on the importance of Kargil war which enlightened the students and ignited a spirit of patriotism. The students of Gr. VI & VII glided gracefully on the stage dancing for the song ‘Mera Mulk’. The backdrop provided the perfect ambience and the assembly ended by observing 2 minutes silence and paying tribute to the Martyrs of Kargil War.
19-07-2016: GURU PURNIMA SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
RMG Maheshwari English School conducted a Special Assembly on the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Purnima i.e, GURU PURNIMA on 19-07-2016 (Tuesday). The programme began with the lamp lightening ceremony by the Principal Sir accompanied with the RMG Family. The students conducted the assembly in Sanskrit, followed by a melodious prayer song “Guru Mera Brahma” and also presented a beautiful skit depicting the strong bond of a teacher and students. The Chief Guest gave an inspiring speech regarding discipline, etiquette and respect for teachers. The assembly was a grand success and thus, showed reverence for the teachers.
16.07.16: FANCY DRESS COMPETITION – Pre Primary
The Pre-Primary Section conducted Fancy Dress Competition from grade Nursery to Sr. K.G.
Children have dressed themselves in various fancy dresses representing various themes.
This competition was judged by Mrs. Chitralekha and Mrs. Maya Joshi.
15.07.16: Gr. I & II - Fancy Dress Competition with the theme - DIGITAL INDIA
The key idea was to create enthusiasm. Kids dressed up as different characters such as Laptop, Smart Watch, Smart T.V , Mobile Phone , Space Shuttle, etc. which has increased their knowledge about the latest gadgets of the world.
13.07.16: Hindi Handwriting Competition – Secondary Section
Beautiful Handwriting is an asset to a student. It boosts confidence and clarity besides creating a positive impact on the reader. In order to enhance the skill of calligraphy and to encourage the students to write legibly, RMG Maheswari English High School conducted ‘Hand Writing Competition’ for the students. It was an open competition in which all the students participated with great eagerness. The motive behind was to enhance the writing skill. The emphasis was on neat, clear and legible handwriting.
12TH JULY, 2016: INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Investiture Ceremony is an important event of the school programme. It marks ‘investing the members of the Students’ Council with their official designations. This year, Investiture Ceremony was conducted in a well planned and meticulous way. The march past of the Students’ Council was a colourful event with the school and the house flags being carried by the perfects. The Chairman was the Chief Guest; the Director was the Guest of Honour while the First Lady of the Trust presided over the event. All the Members of the Council were presented with badges and sashes while the class monitors were presented badges. The ‘Oath Taking Ceremony’ was a solemn affair. The House Masters as well as the Prefects took their respective oaths of integrity. The Students’ Council presented their resolution in the form of a song while the school choir reciprocated by congratulating them in the form of song, specially composed for the purpose. There were speeches by the dignitaries and the Head Boy and the Head Girl. Overall it was a successful event.
11.7.2016: Maths Exhibition by Gr. IX and X
Maths Club of RMG Maheshwari English School, Ladvi organised Maths Exhibition for Gr. IX and X. All the students participated in the event with enthusiasm. There were mainly three categories i.e. working models, still models and charts. From each category, there will be two prizes as per the judgment of the judges. This competition brought out the talent and skill of the pupils in preparing intelligent models. It proved that there are ‘Budding Mathematicians’ hidden in them.
2.7.16: Activity - Ad-Mad Show - Senior Secondary Section
R.M.G Maheshwari English School, Grade 11th Commerce & Science Students with their teachers organised an Ad-Mad Show. The students participated enthusiastically and performed on the stage to display their talent, acting and creativity. The show was about to advertise a product or to create awareness through advertisement. Students showed great interest in the show & participated in groups. Groups came with innovative ideas & performed inspirational advertisements like new gadgets, innovations and also with funny advertisements. The show successfully ended with the appreciation from all present.

27-06-2016: ELECTION OF HEAD BOY / HEAD GIRL
This year RMG School had decided to go the democratic way, to conduct elections for the Head Boy and the Head Girl. When it was announced, the student body was excited and enthralled. They were eager to experience the voting system practically. Preparations were made in advance. Ballot boxes were made and a separate room was allotted as “Voting Centre”. The Social Science teachers took take charge of the event under the guidance of the Co-ordinator. Duties were allotted as Polling Officer and Supervisors. Campaigning was done by the contestants from each house. On the day, the students of Gr. VI to XI turned voters by voting for the candidates of their choice. The sealed boxes were opened the next day and counted. There was neck to neck competition and the result was declared by the Principal in the assembly.
25.06.2016: YELLOW DAY CELEBRATION – Pre-Primary
As the child progresses to preschool, he/she gets a vague idea of what celebration is all about, particularly birthdays and other major festivals. In Kindergarten, a child is able to explore other aspects of our nation and religious festivals. Celebrations about colours in India; tiny tots begin to associate with different colours and their significance. It was a fun-filled day; the significance of Yellow colour is reiterated whereby students and teachers dressed according to the colour celebrated on a particular day. The class room was decorated with yellow colored decorative item and students recited poems on the yellow day. To make the activity more inclusive, children brought different objects like toys, decorative items and drawings on chart paper in the form of projects based on the theme-”Yellow Day.” Both students and teachers brought yellow food items in their lunch box, they also brought yellow flowers. The items were set on the table and decorated with descriptive balloons. All Students participated in games and other interesting theme-based activities.
21-06-2016: WORLD YOGA DAY at RMG
Yoga has profound benefits. It not only maintains all round fitness but also helps in uniting body, mind and breath. On the occasion of ‘World Yoga Day’ RMG Maheshwari School conducted mass yoga activity and special assembly. All the students gathered in the assembly court squatted on yoga mats on the grand carpet spread all over the Assembly ground. As the yoga coach demonstrated the ‘Asanas,’ the students & teachers followed practiced the same with total concentration and meditation. The one hour practice has inspired and motivated everyone to learn yoga. Sambhavi from Gr. IX gave a speech on the advantages of Yoga and the girls of Gr. IX A & B demonstrated Yoga postures with absolute flexibility. The entire School joined the ‘Asanas’ enthusiastically.
18.06.16: Best Advertisement Competition
The competition was scheduled for Grade IV & V students. Children presented various advertisements for example Patanjali, Maggi, Close-up, Nescafe, Cadbury, etc. The motive of keeping such competitions is to meticulously boost the confidence level of the students which was achieved and quiet visible in their performances.
14-06-2016: Special Assembly – ‘World Blood Donation Day’
On the occasion of Blood Donation Day, RMG Maheshwari English School conducted a Special Assembly. It was conducted by the students of Gr. VI-B. The board was decorated with the name of the event and blood donation equipments. Sambhavi delivered a speech giving relevant information about the need & importance of blood donation and helpline numbers in case of emergency. The saying ‘lf you donate blood, you save a life’ inspired everyone. The message removed some of the myths regarding donating blood and inspired all to be partakers of the noble act.
13-06-2016: Special Assembly - ‘World Day against Child Labour’
Childhood is the most enjoyable period in one’s life. It is full of school days, friends, fun & frolic. On the occasion of ‘World Day Against Child Labour’ RMG Maheshwari English School organized special assembly. It was conducted by the students of Gr. VI-B. There were two speeches given, one by the student and the other by their Class Teacher. A special skit was presented by the students which depicted the menial labour done by the unfortunate children and it also gave the message about the need of education for children. The children realized how important it is to curb this social evil and even thanked their fortune.
13-06-2016: Cooking without fire Competition – Gr. 9 & 10
As a part of work education, RMG Maheshwari English School a conducted competition - ‘Cooking without Fire’ for Gr. IX & X. It was a group activity in which the students became chefs and exhibited their innovation in creating new cuisine. They cut, chopped, whipped, garnished and decorated their dishes with perfection. The judges and the staff tasted each dish and appreciated their efforts. The winner will be awarded certificates.
11.06.16: Cooking without fire (Gr. 6-8)
RMG Maheshwari English School conducted cooking without fire competition on 11-06-2016 for Gr. VI to VIII. It was quite an exciting group event in which students participated with eagerness and enthusiasm. The response was overwhelming. Students prepared a variety of sandwiches, bhels, deserts and salads. They were quite innovative and used their skill in decoration and preparation. They enjoyed the entire process. The judges tasted each item and awarded points. The winners will be awarded certificates.
06.06.2016: Celebration of ‘World Environment Day'
RMG Maheshwari English School observed ‘World Environment Day’ on 6th June, 2016. The aim was to create awareness for preserving our environment. Gr. IV A students presented an informative program. There was a speech which delivered the message to sustain our resources and save Mother Earth. Students planted trees adding greenery to the lush green campus. They even took a pledge to conserve the environment.
29-4-16: Sanskrit Shlok Competition GR. VIII & IX
Students of Grade 8th & 9th of RMGMES participated enthusiastically in Sanskrit Shlok Competition organised by RMG Language Club. Sanskrit Shlokas were enchanted by the students in different forms. The competition was carried on assembly hall with full enthusiasm and respect to the Divine language - Sanskrit. The students were judged on parameters like pronouncing, presentation, selection of Shlokas and overall presentation.
23-4-2016: English Handwriting Competition Gr. VI-VIII
Beautiful Handwriting is an asset to a student. It boosts confidence and clarity besides creating a positive impact on the reader. 23-04-16: Red Day Celebrations of the Pre-Primary Section
The Pre-Primary Section celebrated Red Day. The concept was to explain about Red colour through various items like red fruits, vegetables, birds, insects and things. Classrooms were decorated with red balloons, red ribbons and other charts related to red fruits, vegetables and decorative items.Teachers and students presented themselves in red colour dresses; students recited English poem "I love Red " & Hindi poem "Gol Gol hai lal tamatar." Students brought apples, strawberries, pomegranates, plums, tomatoes and red roses. The concluding activities included hand and thumb prints with red colour on activity worksheet. All enjoyed celebrating Red Day.
21.04.16: Table Dodging Competition Gr. III-V
There are many parents and students who wonder why learning the times tables is important. It’s a necessity and your child is taught while they are in elementary and middle school. Once a child has mastered the times tables, they begin to gain the foundation in the mathematics field. This is going to benefit them throughout middle school and into high school as well. And to implement the same, we conducted a competition of “TABLE DODGING” for Grade 3rd, 4th and 5th. Students participated with complete enthusiasm and the yield of the competition was that they memorized the tables.
08-04-2016:Handwriting Competition
The very first competition of the Academic year 2016-17 for the students of Grade 1 & 2.
Individuality and personal style were well-shown in the handwriting for the entries at nine years-old. The winner showed a very mature writing style and clarity that many of us would like to have in our own writing! It was not easy to choose winners and finalists in this age group.

7th April, being the ‘World Health Day’, RMG Maheshwari English School organised a special assembly. The students of Gr. X A organised a special program. The focus was to create awareness on the importance of health and well being and the measures to be adopted to remain hale and healthy. Students gave speech on the five important aspects of maintaining good health. The thought for the day and quiz were all health related. The assembly was informative and enlightening.
10-09-2016: Visit to Bank of Baroda
The Students of RMGMES experienced a golden opportunity to visit the renowned Bank of Baroda on 9th March 2016. The visit proved to be a well planned and better learning experience for our students of grade 8th as they were well explained about different working systems in banking and usage of internet banking along with its security alert system by the Senior Management Staff of the Bank. Many new queries of students were cleared positively by the bank authorities. A quiz was conducted by them to enhance their knowledge about the banking system; certificates were rewarded to the winners of the quiz. Thank you, Bank of Baroda!!!
10-02-2016: Annual Sports Week at RMGMES
The much awaited Annual Sports Week began on the 10th of February 2016 with the Sports Events was enthusiastically participated by Students of the Pre-Primary, Primary and the Secondary Sections.
At the inauguration ceremony, the students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Honorable Principal who also took the salute of the impressive March Past of the RMG English School students. A peppy dance drill and an energizing exercise drill set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Students of Grade 1 to 5 competed class-wise in events including sprints, sack races, obstacle races and three legged races, etc…. Fun time with a shoe race and a tug- of- war between different House children added to the enjoyment. The last event, an AHA! Sports Display, showcased the skills and exercises practiced by our young sports enthusiasts every day. The day ended with congratulating the winners with medals and certificates.
07-02-2016: Open National Speed Skating Championship at Margoa, Goa
Our Students Nishith Ramoliya,Mukesh Mali,Vikas Sharma and Sunil Katariya have bagged 5 Gold and 2 Bronze Medals in Open National Skating Championship held by Goa Sports and Cultural Festival Organization & Olympic Games Federation,Pune at Margao,Goa on 7-2-2016 They have been selected for Malaysia Open International Speed Skating Championship 2016 to represent India in August, 2016. Hearty Congratulations to the Coach Mr. Nilesh & the entire team.
26-01-2016: Republic Day Celebration at RMG
RMGMES celebrated 26th January 2016 with great enthusiasm and fervor .Renowned guest for the day took the salute at the colorful and spectacular march-past .School-children also take part in this parade. The distinguished houses of the school (red house, blue house, yellow house and red house) took part in the parade. These celebrations display the school’s strength. We had our renowned and honorable chief guest Nemichandji Jhangid, Vinibhai Patel Nemiichandji, Bharatbhai Bhikubhai Patel ans Saileshbhai Patel on the occasion of Republic day. Speeches by our honorable Chairman sir , Director Sir and Principal sir filled the atmosphere with Patriotism .Patriotic Dances and songs along with skit performance added flavor to the celebration.
10-01-2016: A GLORIOUS RMG ANNUAL FEST AT RMG Maheshwari English School
RMG Maheswari English School celebrated the ‘ANNUAL FEST’ on 10th Jan. 2016 with great pomp and gaiety. Held on its enormous and magnificent campus at Ladvi, the show was the only one of its kind and the huge gathering of 5000 plus people gave the testimony of this spectacular show. Numerous eminent personalities from different organisations and communities were present for the occasion. The entire campus was dazzling with lights and tastefully decorated with colourful flowers. Shri. Sureshbhai Patel, Jilla Panchayat Pramukh was the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour was Shri. Mukeshbhai Patel of Hindva Group, Rakeshji Jain, Akhil Bharatiya Adhikari of RSS, Shri. Ghanshyamji Soni, Deputy Commissioner- Excise were present to grace the occasion. The program was blessed by the Chairman Shri. Meghrajji Gandhi and Trustee Shri Shyamji Jhawar. Mr. Nirmal Jhawar shared his thoughts on behalf of the Management. The Director introduced the Guests to the audience. Principals presented the Annual Report and the focus of the school. The ambience was set to perfection for the theme ‘The Royal Legends’. The audience were enthralled by scintillating dance performances by the students from Nursery to Gr. XII. The highlights of the event were skating dance with stunts, legendary dance and garba performance. Awards and scholarships were presented to students for excellence in various fields. The event ended with the grand finale leaving a lasting and indelible impression on the audience.
23-12-2015: CHRISTMAS FEST AT RMG
RMG School celebrated Christmas on 23-12-2015 with pomp and splendour. The stage was decorated with a huge cut out of Santa Claus, red coloured balloons and a lovely Christmas tree decked with bells, stars, snow and festoons. There were 3 carols sung by the children. The students of Gr. VII & V danced gracefully to the tune of Christmas songs. The little ones of Gr. I depicted the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in their nativity skit. Gr. IX students presented a message oriented skit. The highlight of the program was ‘The Christmas Icon’ presented by the tiny tots of Gr. I & II. The surprise entry of ‘Santa Claus’ made the children excited and jump with joy. The program ended with the inspiring message by the Principal.
22-12-2015: National Mathematics Day Celebration
National Mathematics day is celebrated every year on 22nd December on the occasion of birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan. It was celebrated this year in our school in a different way. The assembly was dedicated to all our students. We had conducted so many interesting items during the assembly. The assembly included the following items like interesting thought from Maths, speech on National Mathematics Day, Facts on numbers, Maths puzzles, Vedic Mathematics to increase the speed of Multiplication, Dance on Maths poem. Nearly 50 students have taken part in this program. It was really very interesting and informative assembly for everyone.
19/12/15: HEALTH AND TEMPERANCE CONTEST conducted at RMG
Health & Temperance contest was conducted by Grades 9-10th. The main objective of the competition was to encourage having a healthy life style that is brought about by choice not by chance and to bring awareness among the students about effects of drinking alcohol, smoking, drug addiction.The students have participated with interest & enthusiasm and got their confidence level high. The winners will be awarded certificates and mementos.
14.12.15 (Monday): Activity in Work Education - ‘Best Out Of Waste.’
The students of Gr. IV to X got a golden opportunity to show their creativity. 'Best out of Waste' activity was conducted for all the students. The students were excited to participate in it. They made fabulous objects out of waste. Some of the objects were musical instruments, model of a house, post box, coffee set and flower vase. Their imagination, creativity and skill are really commendable. The objects were exhibited class wise and a team of teachers awarded points and selected best three from each class. The activity unfolded the talent of the students.
12-12-2015 (Saturday): ENGLISH CLUB ASSEMBLY
‘The English Club’ of RMG conducted Special Assembly. The emphasis was on improving the skills of English language and to create interest in the subject by making it activity based learning. The program started with the regular pledge and an inspiring thought. For amazing fact, the longest and shortest words of English language were displayed. There were two activities on pronunciation of syllables and testing the grammatical knowledge of students. A song specially composed for the event was rendered by the girls. The Life Skill Speech was based on the biography of Dr. Samuel Johnson. Overall, it was an enlightening program.
08-12-2015: UNICEF DAY – SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
RMGMES observed UNICEF Day (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) on 8th Dec. 2015. Special Assembly was conducted by Gr. X students on this occasion. Students gave informative speeches which described about the origin, formation and functioning of UNICEF in India as well as internationally. The speeches created awareness on the plight of children and what best could be done for them. Gr. V students danced to the song “We are the World, We are the Children.” It was a delightful and graceful performance.
30-11-2015: Fruit Day Celebration at RMGMES
Fruit Day was celebrated with great joy at RMGMES on 30.11.15 by all sections of RMGMES. Teachers had made interesting and simple stories on encouraging children to have vegetables and fruits in their meals. The teachers also explained the importance of fruits’ and vegetables’ intake in diet for mental and physical growth. The tiny tots also learned more about the taste, smell, color and texture of each fruit and vegetable. Children clearly understood the importance of washing the fruits and vegetables before eating or cooking and about the benefits of eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Children and teachers sang the fruit and vegetable rhyme with great zest, enthusiasm and vigor, enjoying the moments of joy and happiness on this special day while walking on the ramp. All the children were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that vegetables and fruits are better than junk food.
7-11-2015: Afternoon - The second activity of SCHOOL SWACCHATA CAMPAIGN
The second activity of SCHOOL SWACCHATA CAMPAIGN was a House-wise ‘Campus Clean up Drive’ in which the students of Gr. VI to X participated. The four houses were assigned specific areas like the ground, corridors and class rooms. House Masters along with the other teachers monitored the entire work. Students participated with great interest and enthusiasm. They dusted the roofs to remove webs. They swept the areas allotted to them. They picked up all the waste material and emptied the dust bins also. They even mopped the corridors. They vied with each other in cleaning the campus. The result was clearly visible – a spick and span campus. After the allotted time, a team of teachers inspected the areas and awarded points to the respective houses. The students were even encouraged to make the best out of the available waste.
7-11-2015: Special Assembly on Swachata Abhiyan by the Language Club of RMGMES
As the entire nation is engaged in “SWATCH BHARAT ABHYAN” started by our PM Modi, RMG too had an important role in this campaign. A special program was organised on 7-11-2015 in the school. Posters were put up on the bulletin boards. The program started with the regular prayer song. Gr. X students presented a skit which gave the message of the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around our surroundings. Special speeches were given by the teachers and students. All the students have taken pledge to keep their classrooms spick and span. Rules and guideless were written and put up in the class room boards. This special event created awareness on cleanliness in the minds of the students.
7-11-2015: DIWALI CELEBRATION AT RMG
7TH November, being the last working day before the Diwali vacation, it was decided to have a ‘Diwali Celebration” for all the grades. Students came dressed in colourful traditional dresses. The Stage was tastefully and beautifully decorated with streamer, flowers and diyas. The program began with prayer and a short assembly. The actual celebration started with the traditional “Diya Lighting” by the Hon’ble Principal. It marked the commencement of the event. There was a skit that depicted the significance of Diwali celebration. The School Choir presented two songs. There were dances by the primary students and classical dance by the senior girls. It was marvellous and graceful. The senior boys presented a foot tapping dance. There was a speech by Lovely. The entire program was meticulously planned and presented. Besides enjoying the program, the students had lots of fun and frolic that will last till the day of re-opening.
6-11-2015: RANGOLI COMPETITION AT RMG
Diwali is not just the festival of lights; it is also a festival of colours, glitter and grandeur. In this festive season, ‘Rangoli Competition’ was conducted for the students of Gr. IV to X. It was an Inter – House Competition with one house participating from each group. The venue was the assembly stage and the time allotted was 2 hrs. The participants excelled each other in making fabulous rangolis and filled them with vibrant colours. They were exquisitely decorated using all their creativity. Each rangoli had a theme and concept as well. “Save the Girl Child” was the concept of one group which won the appreciation of all. Over all, it was a fantastic day for the students.
6-11-2015: Card Making Competition - Primary (Gr. I to III)
The competition was conducted on the occasion of Diwali, students had brought the material for card making from home and in the span of 40 minutes they created such attractive greeting cards on the theme which was Diwali. The children were seeming so amused looking at their own creation.
31-10-2015: Maths Club Program – 2 (Gr. IX & X)
The great Socrates rightly said ‘The understanding of Mathematics is necessary for a sound grasp of ethics.’ The fundamentals of Maths help the student develop thinking and problem solving skills that carries one further in life beyond the limits of class room. The word ‘Mathematics’ itself elicits varied responses of fun, pleasure, logic, analysis and sometimes fears. The ‘Maths Club’ of RMG organized a special activity for the students of Gr. IX & X. The objective of the program was to have fun with Maths and removes their fear of the subject. Inexpensive and easily available material, pictures, posters, models were used and games, puzzles, Maths Tricks and Maths Quiz were conduced. Students have shown a lot of interest in the Maths Club program. It was indeed a great fun!
31-10-2015: Inter House Football Competition (Gr. IV & V)
The competition was amongst Grade IV & V different house students. The competitive spirit of the students towards winning was mind blowing. Blue House won the competition.
31-10-2015: Solo Dance Competition (Primary)
The competition was organized for the students of grade I to III. The zeal and enthusiasm of the contestants was worth seeing as these sort of competitions not only boost the competitive spirit of the students.
31-10-2015: Sardar Patel Jayanti - National Integration Day Celebration
National integration is the awareness of a common identity amongst the citizens of a country. It means that though we belong to different castes, religions and regions and speak different languages, we recognize the fact that we are all one. This kind of spirit is very important in the building of a strong and prosperous nation. Thus, we at RMGMES observed National Integration Day on 31st October 2015 as part of the Special Assembly while celebrating the birth anniversary of our great National Leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Students displayed unique features of our country where in spite of various diversities; people of India stand united and leave peacefully. The students highlighted the above in the form of dances, speeches and a role play. The assembly also included a skit which highlighted the childhood of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and elaborated on the reason we call him ‘THE IRON MAN.’ The program was summarized by The Principal with word of appreciation and blessings to all the participating students and the entire team.
31-10-2015: Inter House English Debate
Debate is an intellectual discourse that enables the students to think critically and exhort confidently. It greatly develops the communication skill which is an asset and is a pre-requisite for success. With this intent, RMG Maheshwari English School organized ‘Inter House Debate’ on 30th October, 2015, for the students of Gr. IX & X. There were two participants from each house. The topic for debate was “Advanced Technology and Modern Gadgets have made man’s life easier.” Blue house and Green house debated in favor while Red house and Yellow house opposed the motion. The students gave powerful speeches with confidence. After the preliminary round, two houses were selected for the final round which was an ‘Open Argument’ round. The debaters argued vigorously. Finally, Red house became the winners.
21-10-2015: Garba Competition at RMGMES
‘Garba’ is the pride of Gujarat. It is an internationally acclaimed traditional dance which is performed during the ‘Navratras’ or the nine days of festivity. On this occasion, ‘Inter House Garba Competition’ was conducted on 21st October, 2015. The venue was the huge and spacious assembly ground. There were altogether 12 teams belonging to the four houses. The participants came in rich traditional costumes. They were allotted their respective circles. The audience were enthralled by the richness of their attire and the rhythm of their dance. The Pre-Primary and Gr. I & II performed on the assembly stage. As the music started, the participants danced with vigour and swing in their feet. The entire atmosphere was filled with fun and frolic. The event started with the traditional and devotional ‘Aarti’ sung by the students and performed by the teachers. After the competition, non-participants too joined in the celebration. The teachers joined them with fervour and encouraged the entire student body. Best Dressed students were selected from each house. The day ended with lots of enjoyment and contentment.
16-10-2015: Cooking without Fire for Moms
The competition was conducted in the Cafeteria Hall for Mothers of the children. The competition was all about the cooking without fire with luscious food off course. Few games and questionnaire session was organized for the parents who thoroughly enjoyed it. One could obviously see the outcome of the program in the enrichment of the bond of love and affection between the mother and the child.
15-10-2015: A GLORIOUS TRIBUTE TO A GREAT SCENTIST AND PRESIDENT OF INDIA.
RMG Maheshwari English School celebrated Dr. Kalam’s Birth Anniversary with solemnity and reverence. The day is also celebrated as World Students’ Day. Dr. Kalam’s love for students is widely known. Therefore, a role play was presented by the Students of Gr. X in which Dr. Kalam addressed the students of a reputed school in the South and answered their queries. The speech given by Yashika Jain of Gr. X described the biography and achievements of the great scientist. A melodious song was dedicated to the ‘President of the People.’ Thereafter, Tree Plantation was undertaken by the Students of Gr. VI to X. “Trees are Man’s Best Friends’. Following this axiom, RMG School has decided to go the green way to add more greenery to the already clean and lush green campus. To commemorate the event, plants were planted all over the campus with great excitement. A skit was presented by the Senior and Primary Students that depicted the uses and the importance of growing more trees. The program ended with the worthy remarks of the Principal.
09-10-15: Oath Ceremony of GirlUp
The Oath Taking Ceremony of RMG-GirlUp Club was held with esteemed honour and dignified way at RMG Maheshwari English School today morning. The Director conferred the Oath for various responsibilities bestowed upon them. The Principal offered Badges to all. All the Office Bearers promised to work honestly and efficiently for the Club’s mission. All the Girls of the School have become Volunteers of the program. The School has prepared a wonderful and motivating schedule of the Club Activities for the forthcoming days.
08-10-15: Hindi Speech Competition for Gr. 6-8
On 8TH OCTOBER, 2015, 48 students of classes VI to VIII of RMGMES participated in HINDI SPEECH COMPETITION organized by OUR RMGMES HINDI CLUB. Different topics were given to the students based on Women Empowerment, Corruption-an increasing problem, Importance of Friendship, If I was a Prime Minister of India, A Remembrance Of My Life, etc. The students were given topics on the spot (extempore) before 2 min. The students participated actively with enthusiasm and dignity towards the language.
08-10-2015: Hindi Poem Recitation Competition for Grades I -III And Hindi Speech Competition for Grades IV-V
The competition was organized in the Amphitheatre. The Students of Grade I to III participated enthusiastically in Hindi Poem Recitation Competition and Grade IV-V in Hindi Speech Competition. The parameters for judgment were fortitude, content as well as appearance. Children were quite contended and presentable. These kinds of competitions always prove to be a significant support to stabilize their personalities and the future.
6.10.15: Educational Trip to the Surat Science Center (Science & SS Club)
The Science centre in Surat aims to create and develop interest of the students in the field of science and inculcate scientific awareness amongst students. The centre displays and demonstrates progress and achievements in various fields of science and technology. We at RMGMES went for an Educational Field Trip to this center with our students of Gr. 6-10 in an attempt to gain insightful perspectives on scientific laws and theories. It was a great learning experience for the students as it invoked a sense of curiosity to explore the exhibits in the museum. Additionally, the students visited various galleries like Fun Science Gallery, Diamond Gallery, Art Gallery, Our Science and Technology Gallery, the Science Auditorium and also the Sardar Vallabhbhai Museum. They were briefed about different kinds of diamond and their polishing methods. They also came to know about the transfer of momentum and many other things. After the gallery visit, the students were taken to Surat Historical movie where the students learnt invaluable lessons about our city Surat and its historical importance. The visit was definitely a great fun and Learning experience for our students.
6.10.15: Educational Trip to Chokhidhani, a replica of village in Rajasthan (Social Studies Club)
Golden moments spent with our Students at Chokhidhani, a replica of Rajasthani culture. We were welcomed with healthy breakfast followed by nourishing beverages. The trip added different shows arranged for children like Bangle making, Pottery, Magic Show, Rope Dance, Puppet Show along with various rides like Camel Cart, Bullock Cart, Horse Cart, Giant wheel and Train Trip. Post lunch, children watched 3-D movie followed with DJ. The day ended with joy and happiness carried in the mind and soul of every one visiting the place. Hats off to the host of Chokhidhani for such a fabulous combo of moments of live Rajasthani culture, live music, dance, crafts and traditional food!
3.10.15: Trip to Iscon Mall
On the above mentioned date, we, the Kindergarten staff and students went for a visit to Iscon Mall. 58 students accompanied the staff to the Mall. They visited the Play Areas especially meant for little ones. They all enjoyed the trip with a lot of fun and food.
3.10.15: Special Assembly on World Animal Day
The World Animal Day is an International Day of Action for animal rights and welfare.
At RMGMES, we the assembly began with the thought of not to torture the animals and also with a concern about endangered species of animals.
A quiz was arranged based on animals close to extinction followed with a special act performed by Grade 1 & 2 students .The children were dressed up as animals and they danced on a few songs for animals.
The day is now set and the time is to reflect on all animals we share this world with and to spur action to commemorate that respectful relationship. Half the world's mammals are declining in population and more than a third are probably threatened with extinction; therefore, it is a necessary to ponder over and care for all animals.
Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti Celebrations
RMG Maheshwari English School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti Jayanti with enthusiasm and joy in the school campus. The program commenced by lighting of the traditional lamp and garlanding the pictures of our great leaders Mahatama Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by our honorable Chairman Shri. Meghraj Gandhi, Director and the Principal. The program was followed by speeches, skits, songs, quiz and thoughts on our their teachings and experiences. A prayer session was also held in which students and staff also participated. The Principal in his short speech emphasized on the philosophy of the lives of these two great leaders who stood for love, brotherhood, sacrifices and patriotism. The function included a play on Gandhi's childhood where he preached people to follow honesty and truth. Our honorable Chairman stressed on the values of Gandhiji’s life and his mission and asked everyone to adopt Gandhian virtues of non-violence, love, compassion and peace. The Director summarized all thoughts presented. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks and National Anthem.
14.09.15 - Hindi Day Celebrations at RMGMES…..
'Hindi Diwas' was celebrated with great enthusiasm by all sections of our school. Various activities were arranged to celebrate our National Language in the Special Assembly. Grade 6th to 8th students were given the opportunity to perform on Hindi poets and writers.
A power-packed speech was delivered by our Hindi Teachers and Students on importance of Hindi language. Grade 6th to 8th students performed a play named KHICHIDI BHASHA which emphasized the importance of Hindi; it also highlighted the bad impact of usage of Hindi with other languages. The script and dialogues as small relevant poems were written by children themselves, they dressed up as per the characters and performed it before their classmates. The participants were quite expressive. What added more emotions to the event were the poems by Student of Grade 8th - DESH HAMARA, was heart toughing.
Independence Day Celebrations – August 15th 2015
The celebration of Independence Day Programme started with the great enthusiasm and atmosphere of celebration along with Flag hoisting followed by National Anthem. The premise was filled with intensity of patriotism. After the March Past and salute to the raised nation’s flag, the show continued with the short musical skit prepared exclusively for the occasion.
The programme pursued with the golden words about patriotism by our honourable Principal and ended with wonderful thoughts of patriotism and love for children by our beloved Chairman. The Chief Guest offered his heartfelt tribute to the nation with his inspiring words. The programme ended with dances, performed by the children on patriotism.
Teachers’ Day & Janmastami Celebrations At Rmgmes On September 4th 2015
It is a rare co-incidence that Teachers’ Day and Janmashtami fall on the same day. 5th Sept, Saturday, being a holiday, it was decided to have an integrated program of the two events on 4th Sept. The Head Boy & the Head Girl took charge of the entire program. They made committees and assigned the roles of teachers to students. Exquisite invitation cards were prepared. On the day, the students took classes with all the seriousness and eagerness of teachers. They all looked elegant in sarees and formal wear. Gr. IV presented a dance for the song ‘I Love My Teacher’. Gr. X students sang a song especially dedicated to teachers. The skit presented by Gr. VIII students depicted the message ‘A Resourceful teacher can change the life of a student.’ Vency gave a speech which was eloquent and meaningful.
A special, but memorial event was conducted by the Management of RMGMES to celebrate the efforts of the teachers by the Trustee who felicitated all teachers and spoke a word of thankfulness for their unceasing efforts at RMGMES. He also shared the modules of success of his life.
'Janmashtami' was celebrated with a lot of fun and a sacred feel arose in the hearts of all while the ritual was performed. Post the Aarti followed by devotional song, a semi-classical dance and the entire crowd moved to the ground where the pot breaking ceremony (Dahi Handi) took place much to the delight and enjoyment of all. The program ended with the vote of thanks by the Head Boy.
